I imagine that most of you who are interested in this DVD are already familiar with the brutally thrashing death metal hybrid of Chicago's Lair of the Minotaur and want to know what this DVD entails.  Obviously this DVD centers around the title track off of the album of the same name, War Metal Battle Master.  This song's meaty and muscular riffs flex like sinewy Spartan warriors while Steven Rathbone's gruff vocals belt out lines like body-blows from Mike Tyson.  The demented minds behind Lair of the Minotaur have given a visual conceptualization to this track with a video, which by most standards is damn professional.  This video is not for the meek either.  It features the members playing this track in the desert.  Those scenes are played against a backdrop of a battle between sword and mace wielding warriors, most of which meet an exceptionally bloody demise.  The bodies of the deceased are then dragged away and consumed by long fanged Keres, naked and drenched in blood.  They devour the corpses in a gory frenzy.  The perfect visualization for any metal fiends wildest dreams.  Additional features on the DVD are a "making of" clip, a "clean" version of the video, and a ton of live clips (around 10) from throughout Lair of the Minotaur's history.  I am not huge on Lair of the Minotaur's style of music but if you are a fan you will likely be pleased by this ambitious and adventurous foray into the world of visual accompaniment to their brand of mutated death thrash.  A lot of time and effort has been put into making this video and it shows.  So bring on the blood, nudity and METAL!!!!!
