Toxik Death
Speed Metal Hell

Demonhood Porductions 2014

Once again Norway's strikes hard and fast with another blast of demonic thrash straight from the bowels of a hellish beast.  Toxik Death's debut album serves to remind me that the most exciting thrash scene in the world comes from the frozen north.  What we have here is a 9 track album of infernal, underground thrash.  Some might be disappointed because all 5 demo songs make a reappearance here but not me.  I welcome their new, sharpened presentation.  Infernal Vicious Attakk uses a gritty production and a sawblade main riff to get its murderous work done.  After a slow build-up a feverish set of furious riffs scald you with their intensity!  The vocals are those of a diseased maniac, filled with hatred and disgust.  The track breaks down into a menacing slow segment that is punctuated with sharp snares.  It picks up the pace and delivers memorable riff after memorable riff.  Next up is the aptly named, Metal Possessed.  A stomping blast of thrashing mayhem.  It's like a street fight where everyone has razors, blood and violence everywhere!  Shades of Endless Pain era Kreator are readily evident on Thrashforces Of Evil.  The riffs have that old, trebly feel to them and speed along with a sense of danger and evil.  The riffs hurtle along with relentless speed and aggression as the song reaches its zenith.  Sergeant Of The Wasteland however has a buzzing, rumbling main riff that just bruises you with its hammering pace.  To keep it from getting too destructive the song drops into passages of midtempo speed metal before totally unleashing its full fury.  The title-track warbles and squeals and then gains steam with powerful guitar sawing.  Ferocious drum lines spew forth from my speakers like volcanic ash suffocating all the world's metal posers.  Finally we reach the album's climax with Satanic Sacrifice!  It's a tornado of werewolf thrash, nothing but claws, teeth and rage as it slashes your flesh!  Hints of Kreator, Deathhammer, and Sacrifice abound as the song unchains metallic riff after metallic riff.  Toxik Death's debut is an exercise in rabid underground thrash.  Speed Metal Hell is foaming at the mouth with grit, mayhem and a violent passion for METAL!
